METRO CHRISTIAN CENTREWe have used the centre a few times over the year for our youth groups and it has never failed to deliver. It is well equipped and clean in a beautiful location, what more do you want ! One of the highlights was seeing teenagers amazed at the awesomeness of the night sky , marveling at the multitude of stars. Thanks once again.

Took a group of 30. Mainly teenagers. Awesome facility. Excellent layout and great communal area for socialising. Log burner is just WOW. Location cant be bettered. Excellent throughout.

We stayed for two nights back in 2012, i know the location well and have stayed in the area many times. It was a stag do, had 16 stay the first evening, so got the fire going and had a good meal, few drinks lots of laughter and chatting all evening on the first night and then climbed Helvellyn the following morning.The next evening, shattered from our long days hiking we had a BBQ taking in the amazing autumn evening and incredible view you get up there. A few guys left before the BBQ leaving only 6 of us staying over the second evening.AS it was cold out and we were full from sausages and burgers, we went inside and all huddled around a laptop watching some funny videos and having a laugh as no TV up there.We could hear a lot of commotion upstairs and assumed it was one of the guys getting ready to leave, not thinking we were all sat their in the room and that the others had all left!Then the door to the main room opened and closed a few times, the toilet door out in the corridor was banging about, then a shadow of a man walked up the access ramp into the main room at some speed he then turned right into the kitchen, bumping into a shelf and vanished???6 of us seen it, we can only assume an old miner was a bit upset at us making a racket the night before and wanted us to leave.Has anyone else seen this or similar whilst staying there as I find it amazing and would love to see him again!!

Muy bueno para grupos grandes. Cocina bien equipada. Tranquilo. Limpio. Lejos del pueblo andando, pero aquí se viene a pasear. Buen sitio para personas en silla de ruedas o dificultad con escaleras. Buen acceso a la casa con rampas. Genial.

It's in the top tier of hostels. It's got great communal spaces; loads of bunk beds; central heating and a big log burner; and a really, really impressive kitchen with every pot, pan and utensil you could ever need to cook food for 20!Obviously however, the bunks are metal, the mattresses are plastic covered and quite-comfortable, and the shared bathrooms are.. adequate.However, it's a hostel. It's a good hostel and the surroundings are phenomenal. Recommended for big groups who are self sufficient and enjoy big meals and communal fireside evenings.
